Geburtstagsparty / Birthday party 2017

English version below

Egal. Rezept ist hier.
7 - Pulled Jackfruit - Rezept hier.
9 - Baguette - Rezept hier.

1 - Berliner, Krapfen... - Rezept hier!
2 - Matcha Cupcakes - Rezept hier.

English version

Mr. Squirrel's and my birthdays are both in December, so we always throw a birthday party together once the holidays are over. This involves a whole lot of time in the kitchen and ends in a nice evening with friends. Here's an overview of what we served at our birthday party last night including recipes. :)

The pictures are just quick shots, because we were running a bit late ;) Food was more important than documentation.

Before and after :)

We had savory things, including some hot dishes - on the one side and desserts on the other. I put numbers on the picture so I can link the recipes below:

1 - "Chicken Wings" - Everyone loved these at any party where I served them! Recipe here.
2 - Puff pastry with tomato, cashew mozzarella and pesto - super simple (except for the mozzarella)! Works like a charm even without the mozzarella. Recipe to follow. Recipe for the cashew mozzarella ist here.
3 - Summer rolls. Forkless salad! :) - Recipe here.
4 - Pesto Pasta Salad - Recipe here.
5 - Potato Salad - a classic! - Recipe here.
6 - Tomato rolls - didn't rise as nicely as I'd hoped this time, but I still liked them. Recipe here.
7 - Pulled Jackfruit - Recipe here.
8 - Curryvurst - with sausages from Wheaty. Fortunately the sell 1kg pack in the German equivalent of Costco :) Recipe for the curry sauce is here.
9 - Baguette - Recipe here.

1 - Jelly donuts - Recipe here!
2 - Matcha Cupcakes - Recipe here. I was lazy and used vegan whippable cream (200ml plus 1 tb sp of matcha) with matcha powder.
3 - Raspberry and vanilla cupcakes (filled!) Recipe is here.
4 - Mini chocolate cupcakes - Recipe here.

We had such a great time at the party and I think our guests enjoyed the night as well!
This kind of night makes me feel like standing in the kitchen for 2 days makes it all worthwhile!
